THE HORMONE EDIT
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 31, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern purchases from and participation in products, programs, educational services, functional testing services, digital products, and other offerings provided by Healthy Habit Project & Co Ltd., operating as The Hormone Edit (“The Hormone Edit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Alberta corporation.
By completing a purchase, checking the acceptance box at checkout, accessing a purchased product, or participating in a program or service, you (“you,” “your,” or the “Client”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any additional information displayed on the checkout or sales page for the specific product or service you purchase.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase our programs, testing services, coaching services, or digital products.
By purchasing, you confirm that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete.
2. Our Services
The Hormone Edit provides educational wellness services designed to help clients better understand nutrition, lifestyle, health patterns, and factors that may influence overall wellbeing.
Depending on the offer purchased, your purchase may include one or more of the following:
The specific inclusions, duration, price, payment structure, access period, testing included, and delivery method for your purchase will be described on the applicable sales or checkout page.
If there is a conflict between these general Terms and specific written terms clearly displayed for an individual offer at checkout, the offer-specific terms will apply to that purchase.
3. Professional Scope and Health Disclaimer
The Hormone Edit is an educational wellness business.
Services may be provided by Megan Vant, a Certified Holistic Nutritional Practitioner (CHNP) credentialed through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
A CHNP is not acting as a physician, naturopathic doctor, registered dietitian, registered nurse, pharmacist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other regulated healthcare professional.
Information provided through our programs, consultations, testing reviews, educational materials, meal plans, digital resources, and communications is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Our services do not constitute:
You should continue to work with your physician and other qualified healthcare providers regarding medical conditions, symptoms, medications, investigations, diagnoses, and treatment.
You agree not to discontinue, delay, begin, or modify prescribed medication or medical treatment solely because of information provided by The Hormone Edit.
Any nutrition, lifestyle or supplement-related information discussed through our services must be considered within the context of your individual circumstances and appropriate professional medical care.
If you experience symptoms requiring urgent or emergency medical attention, seek appropriate emergency medical care.
4. Your Responsibility for Health Information
Where your purchase involves coaching, testing or personalized educational recommendations, you agree to provide complete and accurate information regarding your health history, medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy status, diagnosed conditions, relevant medical treatment and other information reasonably requested through our intake process.
You are responsible for notifying us if this information changes during your participation.
We may determine that our services are not appropriate for your particular circumstances or that involvement from a regulated healthcare professional is required.
Where reasonably necessary for safety or professional scope, we reserve the right to decline, pause, modify or discontinue services.
5. Functional Laboratory Testing
Certain Hormone Edit services may include or provide the option to purchase functional laboratory testing.
Testing may include hormone, mineral, gastrointestinal, nutritional or other wellness-related assessments offered by third-party laboratories.
Functional testing is used as an educational screening and information-gathering tool. Results are interpreted alongside your history, symptoms, intake information and other relevant context.
Functional testing does not independently diagnose, confirm, exclude or treat a disease or medical condition.
Third-party laboratories
Laboratory testing is performed by independent third-party laboratories. The Hormone Edit does not own or control these laboratories.
Laboratory services may therefore be subject to the laboratory’s own:
We are not responsible for laboratory delays, carrier delays, laboratory errors, lost shipments, damaged specimens or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Collection
You are responsible for following the collection instructions provided for your particular test.
Collection requirements differ between tests. Failure to follow instructions may result in an unusable sample, delayed results or the need for recollection.
Where recollection or replacement is necessary because instructions were not followed, additional laboratory or shipping charges may apply.
Timing
Any laboratory turnaround times provided are estimates rather than guarantees.
Your coaching or program participation may begin before laboratory results are available unless specifically stated otherwise in your offer.
Shipping
You are responsible for providing an accurate mailing address.
Where a test requires you to return a sample, you are responsible for following the shipping and packaging instructions supplied for that test.
Any responsibility for postage, courier fees or international shipping will be disclosed as part of the applicable testing process.
6. Testing Purchases and Refunds
Because functional tests involve third-party laboratory costs, testing purchases are subject to different refund rules than ordinary coaching services.
Once a laboratory order has been placed, a test kit has been shipped, laboratory paperwork has been issued, or laboratory fees have otherwise been incurred on your behalf, the corresponding laboratory portion of your purchase is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
If you request cancellation before the laboratory order has been processed, contact [email protected] as soon as possible. Any refund or cancellation available at that stage will depend on whether third-party costs have already been incurred.
Tests that expire because they were not completed within the laboratory’s required timeframe are not automatically eligible for free replacement.
Optional functional-testing add-ons purchased as part of another program are subject to these same testing terms.
7. Programs and Coaching Services
Program duration, format, call schedule, lesson schedule, testing inclusions, coaching access, community access and other components vary between offers and are described on the applicable sales or checkout page.
You understand that participation requires your own time, decision-making and engagement.
Missed sessions, failure to complete lessons, failure to submit testing, failure to use program resources, travel, scheduling conflicts or a decision to stop participating do not automatically create a right to a refund.
Live sessions
Group or individual sessions may take place by video conferencing or another online platform.
Where group sessions are recorded, this will be disclosed to participants. By voluntarily participating in a recorded group call, you acknowledge that your voice, image or contributions may be included in the recording.
Recordings intended for members are confidential and may not be shared outside the applicable program.
8. Program Refunds
Unless a different written refund policy is clearly stated on the sales or checkout page for a particular program, program and coaching purchases are non-refundable once the program or service has begun, except where required by applicable law.
If you request cancellation before the program begins, contact us promptly at [email protected].
Where your purchase includes functional laboratory testing, any laboratory costs already incurred remain non-refundable even if another portion of the purchase is eligible for cancellation or refund.
If you purchase through a payment plan, the payment plan is a method of paying the total purchase price rather than a month-to-month subscription unless expressly stated otherwise.
Cancellation of participation does not automatically cancel remaining agreed payments.
9. Payment Plans
Where a payment plan is offered, the payment schedule and total cost will be displayed at checkout.
By selecting a payment plan, you authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method you provide according to that schedule.
You agree to maintain a valid payment method until the payment plan has been completed.
If a scheduled payment fails, we may temporarily suspend access to applicable services or materials while the balance remains outstanding.
We may attempt to contact you to resolve unsuccessful payments.
Nothing in this section limits rights available to either party under applicable consumer protection law.
10. Digital Products and The Focus Planner
Digital products, including The Focus Planner, are licensed for your individual personal use.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, purchase of a digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property to you.
You may not:
Digital product refunds
Because digital products may be available immediately after purchase, digital product purchases are final once access has been delivered, except where required by law.
If you experience a genuine technical problem accessing a purchased product, contact [email protected] and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it.
11. The Focus Planner and Local Data
Where The Focus Planner or another digital product stores information locally in your web browser or device, that information may not be transmitted to or accessible by The Hormone Edit.
You are responsible for maintaining backups where a backup function is provided.
Clearing browser data, changing devices, modifying browser settings, deleting local storage or losing access to a device may result in loss of locally stored information.
The Hormone Edit is not responsible for loss of locally stored data where that data was never transmitted to or stored by us.
12. Digital Product Availability and Updates
We may improve, modify, replace or discontinue features in digital products from time to time.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee that any particular hosted platform, software feature, integration, or third-party technology will remain available indefinitely.
Where an offer includes ongoing access, that access remains subject to reasonable platform availability, technological changes and these Terms.
13. No Guarantee of Results
Health, wellness, behavioural and lifestyle outcomes vary significantly between individuals.
We do not guarantee any particular:
Results are influenced by many factors outside our control, including health history, medical conditions, medications, genetics, lifestyle, adherence, environment, sleep, stress and healthcare decisions.
Testimonials and case studies describe individual experiences and do not guarantee that you will obtain the same or similar results.
14. Group Confidentiality and Conduct
If you participate in a group program or community, you agree to respect the privacy of other participants.
You may not share, screenshot, record, publish or disclose personal information, health information, stories or comments shared by another participant without their permission.
You agree not to:
We may restrict or terminate community or program access for serious or repeated breaches of these expectations.
15. Communications
Support availability and response times may vary by offer and will be described where applicable.
Coaching and educational communication channels are not intended for urgent medical issues or emergencies.
We may reasonably establish boundaries around communication hours, response times and channels in order to operate the service effectively.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all materials provided by The Hormone Edit remain the intellectual property of Healthy Habit Project & Co Ltd. and/or their respective rights holders.
This includes, without limitation:
Your purchase grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the applicable materials for your own personal purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly share or commercially exploit our materials without prior written permission.
17. Privacy
Personal information may be collected during checkout, onboarding, intake, testing, coaching, use of the member portal, communications and other service delivery.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
Certain services, including laboratory testing, payment processing, email delivery, video conferencing and portal access, rely on third-party providers that process information according to their own privacy practices.
Where laboratory testing requires information to be shared with an applicable laboratory or distributor, you authorize us to provide the information reasonably necessary to place, process or administer your order.
18. Third-Party Platforms and Services
We use third-party service providers to operate portions of our business.
These may include payment processors, email platforms, website hosting providers, member portals, laboratories, shipping providers, video-conferencing platforms and other technology services.
We are not responsible for temporary outages, service interruptions, security incidents or other failures caused solely by third-party systems outside our reasonable control.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our services and materials are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the extent permitted by law, Healthy Habit Project & Co Ltd.’s total cumulative liability arising from a particular purchase will not exceed the total amount you paid directly to us for that purchase.
We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or products where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Client Responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions regarding your health, lifestyle, finances, technology use and participation in our products or services.
You agree to use reasonable judgment and seek appropriately qualified professional advice where necessary.
21. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to a service, program, community or digital product if you materially breach these Terms, misuse our intellectual property, repeatedly fail to make agreed payments, or engage in behaviour that threatens or seriously disrupts other clients, staff or service delivery.
Where services are discontinued solely because we determine that continuing to provide them would fall outside our professional scope, we will address any unearned service fees reasonably and in accordance with applicable law and third-party costs already incurred.
22. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government action, widespread internet or technology outages, labour disruption, public health emergencies or interruptions affecting third-party providers.
Where practical, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide an alternative method of delivery.
23. Changes to Products and Programs
We may reasonably modify program schedules, lesson order, delivery methods, technology platforms, resources or instructors where necessary to provide the service.
Any material change will not remove the fundamental value of the purchased service without an appropriate remedy.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version accepted at the time of purchase generally governs that purchase.
Material changes affecting an active service will be communicated where appropriate.
25. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the applicable checkout or sales-page terms and Privacy Policy, form the agreement relating to your purchase and replace prior representations regarding that specific purchase except where expressly incorporated.
27. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Before beginning formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute directly.
Subject to applicable consumer protection rights, disputes that proceed to court will be heard in Alberta.
